PURPOSE: A sliding and tilting window is provided to cut down the cost required for construction and maintenance, and to keep windproof efficiency of a high building. CONSTITUTION: The sliding and tilting window contains: a transom track fixed to a window frame coupled with a building wall and provided with a sliding guide projection; a transom slide(20) provided with a retreated groove to couple with the sliding guide projection of the transom track, a guide projection and a hanging groove; a window sash composed of an upper sash provided with a retreated groove to couple with the guide projection formed on the lower part of the transom slide(20) and a lower sash(32) provided with a retreated groove to fix with a roller for sliding; and a gear box(50) fixed to the retreated groove of the upper sash of the window sash to couple with the hanging groove of the transom slide(20) to convert horizontal movement into vertical movement. |
