PURPOSE: Provided is an absorbent to remove effectively inorganic chlorides and sulfides which are contained in the reformate for BTX and hydrocarbon in the liquid and the vapor phase. The inorganic chlorides are introduced from the catalyst used in the cracking of naphtha and sulfides from the naphtha raw materials. CONSTITUTION: The absorbent comprises 35-45 wt.% of zinc oxide, 20-24 wt.% of calcium hydroxides, 3-5 wt.% of HY type zeolite and 10-20 wt.% of hydrotalcite-like materials.
