PURPOSE: To provide a method to guarantee the continuity of data on a buffer memory in an optical disk reproducing apparatus. CONSTITUTION: One bit of a sub-code synchronizing signal SC not only conventional main data is written into a space area of an interleave RAM 15 in a CIRC decode. By this procedure, since the address control providing the FIFO area similarly to the main data is carried out, the main data can be synchronized with the sub-code synchronizing signal SC read out from the interleave RAM 15. Consequently, the start of the write-in of main data to the buffer memory 16 is controlled by the sub-code synchronizing signal SC synchronized with decode data read out from the interleave RAM 15, and even when the work to store the main data which are read out from a CD into the buffer memory 16 is once stopped and restarted, the continuity of the data on the buffer memory is guaranteed.
