PURPOSE: A copier and method capable of varying a printing position are provided to print an image of a document on a desired position of print paper. CONSTITUTION: A copier includes a key input unit(210), a controller(220), a display(230), and a printing unit(240). The key input unit sets a printing position and receives the set printing position information and a copy starting command as a key input to output a signal corresponding to the key input to the controller. The controller outputs a control signal for displaying the printing position information and, when the copy starting command is inputted from the key input unit, outputs a control signal for printing image data of a document on the printing position. The display displays the printing position information on the basis of the control signal of the controller. The printing unit prints an image of the document on the printing position based on the control signal of the controller.
