The invention relates to a selective vegetable extract with antitumour effect prepared by using 65...80% Medicago sativa L. and 2.5...10% Cuscuta campestris Yunck herba and/or non-selected seeds thereof by in-series repeated extraction of 500 g of a mixture thereof with aqueous and non-aqueous solvent, the resulting solutions being afterwards concentrated by lyophilization and atomization at reduced pressure, up to the stage of dry extracts containing 5% humidity at the most, said extracts being then joined together and kneaded with for their homogenization, the extract having finally a content of at least 0.25% flavones expressed as rutoside and at least 3%/g total polyphenols expressed as caffeic acid, and to the process for preparing said extract.
