PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specifying an angle error in a space angle of a principal axis in a sensor or effector installed in a receiver. SOLUTION: The method specifies an actual change (Δε) and intended change (Δε*) in the space angle of the principal axis in the sensor or effector installed in the receiver. The receiver can directly be rotated around a first rotation axis, and further can indirectly be rotated around at least another rotation axis. A photoelectric angle measurement apparatus having at least two measurement axes is installed in the receiver, and rotated around the first rotation axis. Meanwhile, the rotation around at least another rotation axis is controlled, and a measurement procedure is taken place on the first rotation axis in a rotation step. The first actual change (Δε) in the space angle of the principal axis is detected, and recorded by the angle measurement apparatus. The first intended change (Δε*) in the space angle of the principal axis is provided and recorded by an encoder, in a rotation step included. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
