PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hydrogenated polymer, with which after the hydrogenation reaction of the carbon-carbon unsaturated bond of a polymer, a platinum family element in a used hydrogenation catalyst is efficiently separated from a reaction mixture. SOLUTION: The method for producing a hydrogenated polymer comprises hydrogenating the carbon-carbon unsaturated bond of a polymer in an organic solvent in the presence of the platinum family element-containing hydrogenation catalyst, then complexing the platinum family element-containing hydrogenation catalyst, adsorbing the formed complex on the adsorbent and separating adsorbent from the reaction mixture.
