PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet discharging device capable of aligning the sheet ends in good performance without risk that the sheet hops out from upon a sheet discharging tray even if the sheet is being discharged at a high speed. SOLUTION: The sheet discharging device is equipped with a sheet discharging means and a sheet accommodating tray to accommodate sheets discharged from the sheet discharging means one after another, wherein the tray is furnished with an abutting means installed on the downstream side about the sheet discharging direction and abutting to the center of the leading edge of the discharged sheet and a hindering means installed on the downstream side in the sheet discharging direction farther than the abutting means and hindering the discharged sheet from moving. The abutting means has an abutting part bulging from the sheet accommodation surface of the accommodating tray while the hindering means has a hindrance part protruding perpendicularly from the sheet accommodation surface of the tray.
