PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool for a fishing line which is connected to another spool of the same shape by sharing a revolving shaft and with which the connected spools are each independently rotated and the rotations are smooth and resistance is low. SOLUTION: The spool 1 for a fishing line connectable to another spool 1' of the same shape is equipped with a drum 2, a first and a second flanges 3 and 4 attached to both the ends of the drum 2, a hook 5 and a prong 6. The hook 5 is arranged at a position outside the outer surface 10 of the first flange and the prong 6 is installed at a position inside the outer surface 11 of the second flange. When the spool is connected to the other spool 1', the spool 1 for a fishing line has a distance in the revolving shaft direction from a contact position 12 at a hook tip to the outer surface 10 of the first flange larger than a distance in the revolving shaft direction from a contact position 13' on the prong surface to the outer surface 11 of the second flange.
