PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric cargo handling vehicle that enables smooth transfer of a battery and enables reliable fixation of the battery. SOLUTION: A side frame 14 of the vehicle 2 has a vertically movable locking member 20 for locking the battery 12 stored in a battery storage part of the vehicle, and has an urging member 21 for urging the locking member 20 to project up from the bottom of the battery storage part. When a positioning hook 17 on a battery transfer device is engaged with the side frame 14 of the vehicle, the positioning hook 17 presses down the locking member 20 to unlock the battery.
