<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability and save the power in a side edge type backlight of a multi-lamp system by making load characteristics of a lamp reflection sheet uniform to eliminate a fluctuation in tube current. <P>SOLUTION: A swelling part PJN extended along the longitudinal direction of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp CFL3 positioned in the center part is formed at the lamp reflection sheet LFS on the side opposite to a light incident surface PIS of a light guide plate GLB with respect to the cold cathode fluorescent lamp CFL3 so that the distances from the lamp reflection sheet LFS to three cold cathode fluorescent lamps CFL1, CFL2 and CFL 3 along the longitudinal direction thereof are nearly equal to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
