<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a packet communication service provided with a charging system which is flexible and convenient for both users and a network service provider. <P>SOLUTION: A service providing server 7 managed and conducted by the network service provider issues packet right for transferring packets of a prescribed unit from one node to another node in a network under a fixed condition by registering information concerned with the packet right in a packet right database 4, rewrites an owner in the packet right database 4 by the payment of a price, and verifies packets transmitted on the basis of the packet right from a terminal device 1 of a user purchasing the packet right by using an edge router 8. When the packet is valid, the server 7 permits the transfer of the packets, and changes or deletes the information of the packet right which is registered in the packet right database 4 in accordance with the transfer quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
