<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display controller and a display control method, by which the arbitrary part of a displayed image can easily be enlarged and displayed in accordance with speech to improve the operability of an operator. <P>SOLUTION: When the operator inputs with speech "an image of an airplane" etc., a control part extracts image data concerned with "airplane" and displays an image of the "airplane" on a display device. Here, when the operator vocally inputs "enlarged display", the control part extracts border part data of divided images and divides the displayed image, and displays border parts between the divided images.
