PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recorder in which a photographing function can be carried out partially even upon the occurrence of a trouble in a recording medium. SOLUTION: The recorder comprises a memory for storing image data obtained by an imaging means, and a means for reading out the image data stored in the memory and recording it on a recording medium wherein a still image recording mode is set in response to the detection of an unrecordable state due to dew formation on the recording medium or the like, and the recording of the still image data photographed in the still image recording mode and stored in the memory to the recording medium is prohibited.
