PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chewing gum excellent in the release speed, intensity and lasting properties of flavor and taste. SOLUTION: The so-called sugar-coated microcapsule flavor and taste, which is prepared by bonding mannitol to the surface of yeast wherein a flavor, preferably mannitol is added to the inside of bacterial cells, is used as a flavor and taste agent to prepare the chewing gum.
