INORGANIC FILLER REINFORCED PROPYLENE POLYMER COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide at a low cost an inorganic filler reinforced propylene polymer composition excellent in mechanical strength, thermal and impact resistance. SOLUTION: To obtain an inorganic filler reinforced propylene composition composed of 1-99 wt% modified propylene polymer(A), 1-50 wt% inorganic filler(B) and 0-98 wt% propylene polymer(C). The A is prepared by melt mixing 100 pts.wt. propylene polymer(A1) with 0.01-1 pts.wt. radical initiator(A2) and 0.1-1 pts.wt. unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or its anhydride(A3) and has (1)limiting viscosity[η] of at least 1 dl/g at 135°C in tetralin and (2) the ratio(βvalue) of acid content and polymer chain number of 0.5-3.0 and (3)contains not more than 2 wt% of constituent having≤10,000 molecular wt. measured by gel permeation chromatography.
