PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front pocket attaching method for a school satchel, for facilitating the manufacture and allowing an opening part to be opened largely more than before. SOLUTION: As a first process, a tape part of one fastener piece is sewn substantially inverted-U shaped on the outer surface of a front plate of the school satchel. As a second process, the other fastener piece is attached to a substantially rectangular pocket upper part cloth extending over the upper side and both sides, with both edges thereof projected to the lower side of the pocket upper part cloth. As a third process, the lower part of the pocket upper part cloth partly overlaps the inner surface side of the upper end part of the pocket lower part cloth, and both right and left ends of the pocket lower part cloth are sewn up to project toward the right and left sides of the pocket upper part cloth. As a fourth process, both side parts of the pocket lower part cloth are fitted to a sewn part of the side of the front plate and a front stage gusset face part, and the lower side is fitted to the sewn part of the lower side of the front plate and a front stage bottom part by sewing.
