PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous vacuum carburizing furnace heating method for saving the heating energy of a heater by eliminating accumulation of excessive calorie in a high-temperature heating chamber, preventing large thermal expansion due to the high temperature, preventing any thermal deformation, and omitting at least one heater. SOLUTION: A heating chamber 2 of a continuous vacuum carburizing furnace 20 has first to third heating zones 21, 22 and 23 having each pair of first to third side heaters 81, 82 and 83 to heat both sides of a work 11. The heater of the first heating zone 21 is heated by the pair of first side heaters 81 and 81 disposed aside the work 11, and a lower regenerative burner 8 disposed below the work 11. The second and third and subsequent heating zones 22 and 23 are heated only by each pair of second and third and subsequent side regenerative burners 82, 82, 83 and 83.
