PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic damper of a compact and novel structure capable of stably achieving effective vibration damping effect along a wide frequency range with less dependency of damping effect on temperature. SOLUTION: A spring member 12 is provided to elastically support a mass part 14 of a prescribed mass to a subject member 16 as a main vibration system to be damped to compose this dynamic damper 10 as an auxiliary vibration system. The spring member 12 is formed of damper alloy of a loss coefficient of 0.05 or more. The spring member 12 is installed on the subject member 16 to be fixed through an installation metal fitting 20 of higher rigidity than the spring member 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
