<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work plate supporting apparatus in which, during machining, only a tool is brought into contact with the work plate. <P>SOLUTION: A first upper conveyor 14 and a second upper conveyor 15 parallel to the first upper conveyor 14 are mounted respectively on the upper part of supports 12, 13 in front of an NC router 11 mounted on a support base 1. A first lower conveyor 16 is mounted on the lower part of the first upper conveyor 14, and a second lower conveyor 17 is mounted on the lower part of the second upper conveyor. They are each feed-driven by a servo motor. Further, the first and second upper conveyors are vertically driven, and the work plate is sandwiched between the upper and lower conveyors.
