PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily surely mount a terminal to a circuit board without damaging the circuit board. SOLUTION: A positioning plate 50 is mounted to a connector for a board, and insertion holes 51 for inserting jig stops 29 of terminals 20 are formed on the positioning plate 50. The depth D of each insertion hole 51 is set larger than the length L of the jig stops 29 in the axial direction of the terminal 20. Thereby, when elastic contact parts 27 of the terminals 20 are inserted into through holes 41 until the positioning plate 50 hit against the circuit board 40 in mounting the connector for the board to the circuit board 40, further insertion of the contact parts 27 is restrained, and the lower edges 29B of the jig stops 29 are retained away from the circuit board 40. Accordingly, the circuit board 40 is prevented from being damaged caused by pressing the lower edges 29B against the circuit board 40. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
