<p>Test device has slide frame holder (13) for test image (15) and glass plate reference image (17) having reference marks e.g. position, gray scale grid, reference edge, homogeneity measurement field. Test image is placed above reference image and light transmitter (11) illuminates superimposed images. Light receiver (19) produces corresponding electric signal for evaluation device (21) to evaluate received signal w.r.t. quality parameters. Light receiver is tri linear sensor of three line sensors (CCDs). Glass plate reference image (17) contains geometric reference marks for position marking, gray scale grid, homogeneity measurement fields, color space conversion measurement field, light scatter test field. Comparison of position of reference marks with position of marks on test image allow identification of position and alignment errors and so predict distortion of exposure optics of film recorder and position accuracy of film strip during exposure in film recorder. An Independent claim is also included for a test method for testing the exposure quality of an exposed film.</p> |
