PURPOSE: A digital camera device correcting a white defect of a solid state imaging device, and a method for correcting a white defect are provided to correct a white defect by dividing a video frame into predetermined areas according to a normal band and a high band, thereby correcting a white defect at a picture outside a selected area. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of line memory blocks(202,204) delay a shutter enable signal for a predetermined time, and transmits the delayed shutter enable signal to an edge block(206). The edge block generates a rise edge signal and a fall edge signal of the shutter enable signal, and generates a rise edge signal of a prewrite enable signal. A counter(218) receives the rise edge signal and the fall edge signal of the shutter enable signal, and the rise edge signal of a prewrite enable signal for generating a count prewrite enable signal and a count shutter enable signal. A start block(208) generates a white defect enable signal ordering correction of a white defect in response to a clock signal and an address bit. A first coding unit(210) generates a start write enable signal in response to the rise edge and field signals, and the white defect enable signal. A second coding unit(212) generates outputs every rise edge and fall edge of the shutter enable signal. A third coding unit(214) generates a processor enable signal in response to the write start enable signal and output of the second coding unit. A preprocessor block(216) generates a prewrite enable signal in response to the processor enable signal.
