FIELD: railway transport; mechanization of track facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at removing or laying switch units or track skeletons. Proposed cantilever track-laying machine contains low-mounted cantilever boom with load-lifting equipment for vertical displacement of switch unit and furnished with brace and brace support post mounted on self-propelled platform car with power equipment. Brace resting on support post, is secured by one end on end on cantilever part of boom, and by other end, on platform-counterweight connected to self-propelled platform car with power equipment. Support post is mounted on side of self-propelled platform car opposite to boom. Said support post is made articulated and it can be tilted along platform by its turning mechanism. Invention makes is possible to built track-laying machine whose dimensions permit its getting under portal hoists with gripped switch unit and under switch unit lifted up by portal hoists.
