PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical artificial respirator capable of correctly and accurately changing an input mode or a respiratory mode in an easy and user-friendly manner. SOLUTION: This medical artificial respirator has a user interface adapted to record a new curve and/or changes to a curve being displayed, which changes are made on a screen by the user. Changes to the new curve and/or the curve being displayed are transferred to a memory unit so that they are stored as new target values of functional parameters. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
