<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify what an identifier means in recorded identification information of a subject. <P>SOLUTION: In step S1, a photographer inputs a purpose for which a retinal camera is to be used. In step S2, a subject identifier is inputted. After setting of steps S1 and S2 is finished, subject fundus oculi is photographed by using the retinal camera as step S3. In step S4, subject identifier information is set in items of a subject ID and inspection number in response to purpose information of ophthalmological and medical checkup stored in a memory.
