PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain safe and palatable cleaned water at a water quality level fitted to a use place or use. SOLUTION: A water cleaning system has a central water cleaning apparatus 2, which is set so as to remove at least one of a turbid substance, ions, microorganisms and a chemical substance in tap water but not to remove residual chlorine or to remove only part of residual chlorine, provided to the inlet of water piping 20 for supplying water to a building. Cleaned water is supplied to respective places, where cleaned water is used, from the central water cleaning apparatus through the piping 10 attached to the building and secondary water cleaning devices 11-17 which remove at least one of the not-removed-turbid substance, -ions, -microorganisms, -chemical substance and -residual chlorine by the central water cleaning apparatus, are provided at least one place of the piping. A magnetic treatment water activator may be provided on the upstream or downstream side of the central water cleaning apparatus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
