<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a mobile telephone set which does not keep the user waiting during a cell search and power consumption is lowered by accelerating the search in a dual system mobile telephone set capable of dealing with a plurality of services. <P>SOLUTION: Based upon information acquired by a communication service associated with first started communication, the range of the cell search associated with the other communication service is made smaller than the range of the search associated with the first communication so that the cell search is accelerated and power saving is achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
