PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush supporting device for a cleaning machine wherein ascent and descent operation of a brush and adjustment of grounding load is easily performed. SOLUTION: The brush 2 is rotatably supported on one end of a brush swing arm 3 whose other end part is provided in a vehicle body 5 so as to swing. A spring 10 for pressurization for pressurizing the brush 2 in the direction of pressing is provided on the brush swing arm 3. One end of a brush elevating lever 4 is connected with one end of the brush swing arm 3 through a connection member 13. Moreover, a gas spring 16 for making load in the direction of pulling-up act on the brush 2 is provided at one end of the brush elevating lever 4. Consequently, the brush 2 is stored and grounded by merely operating the brush elevating lever 4 to change brush grounding load, so that the operation is simplified. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
