PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate device capable of stably supporting a gate body capable of opening/closing a large passage without installing a caster device and imparting an excellent operability. SOLUTION: A door body 2 is formed by two door body units 3 at the door stop side and the door hanging base side. A guided part formed in one side door body unit 3 is fixed to the other guide part formed in the other side door unit 3 to connect both door body units 3, 3 to each other to be mutually movable. A door stop side door body unit 32 is made retractable from the door stop side end 313 of the door hanging base side door body unit 31, the door hanging base side end 312 of the door body unit 31 is fitted to a hanging base side post 6 erected at one side position of the passage way to be horizontally turnable and the turning end 82 of the support arm 8 fitted to the hanging base side post 6 to be horizontally turnable is connected to the door stop side end 313 of the hanging base side door body unit 31.
