PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous polyurethane adhesive composition having high heat resistance and water resistance, especially high light resistance. SOLUTION: The adhesive composition comprises an aqueous polyurethane dispersion and, as a curing agent, a polyisocyanate bearing an isocyanurate ring and having a number-average molecular weight of≤800, wherein the aqueous polyurethane dispersion is such one that a carboxyl-functional polyurethane composed of polyester polyol segments, aliphatic or alicyclic diisocyanate segments and dimethylolalkanoic acid segments is dispersed in water with the carboxy group in the form of a lithium salt.
