FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves setting radiopaque mark on skin at the point of upper ear auricle tips-connecting line intersection with the sagittal median head plane. Patient head is positioned with the sagittal median head plane position taken into consideration so that the plane is to pass along table median line in perpendicular to its plane. Irradiation fields are calculated in horizontal plane passing over the upper ear auricle tips and radiopaque mark belonging thereto. Distances from irradiation fields boundaries to the horizontal and median sagittal head planes and the radiopaque mark. EFFECT: enabled reproduction of patient body arrangement in following radiation therapy sessions in comfortable patient pose; high accuracy of irradiation fields layout.
