FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for preparing polymer that can be used, in particular, for preparing polymer using for preparing gas- -separating membranes. Method is carried out by dehydrohalogenation of halogen-derivatives of hydrocarbons with alkaline reagent in solvent medium at enhanced temperature. The compound of the general formula MeOR is used as an alkaline reagent wherein Me means potassium (K) or sodium (Na); R means hydrogen atom, CH3, tert.-C4H9 and dimethylsulfoxide is used as a solvent. Process is carried out at temperature 40-120 C. Alkaline reagent is taken in the amount 1-1.5 mole per 1 mole of halogen hydrogen in the parent hydrocarbon. Invention provides enhancing yield of the end product, simplifying technology of process, expanding raw base due to using broader assortment of reagents and parent halogen- derivatives of hydrocarbons.
