TRANSFLECTIVE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A transflective liquid crystal display is provided to improve the transmissivity and optical efficiency of the liquid crystal display. CONSTITUTION: A transflective liquid crystal display includes the first substrate(110), the second substrate(130) one side of which faces the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer(150) formed between the first and second substrates. The transflective liquid crystal display further includes the first polarizer(155) formed on the back side of the first substrate, and the second polarizer(165) formed on the other side of the second substrate. The transflective liquid crystal display also has a back light(170) located behind the first polarizer, and a transparent semi-transmission layer(160) that is formed between the first polarizer and the back light to reflect some of incident lights and transmit some of the incident lights.
