PURPOSE: A method for removing misunderstanding of a lane is provided to improve the recognition ratio of the lane by a stable alarm, thereby driving an express bus safely during heavy rain at night. CONSTITUTION: A method for removing misrecognition of a lane includes the steps of: discriminating a real lane and the wheel mark on the water of the preceding vehicle during a heavy rain at night; detecting the real lane and the wheel mark on the water as a possible lane(A,A') and an impossible lane(B,B') by securing the data of a maximum vehicle tread; and removing misrecongintion of the wheel mark on the water of the preceding vehicle as the real lane by removing the impossible lane(B,B') from detecting the lane.
