PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationic polymerization composition having high activity (quick polymerizability and quick curability) by the radiation of actinic energy rays and/or heating and provide a cured material of the composition, an article produced by using the cured material and methods for the production of these materials. SOLUTION: The cation polymerizable composition exhibiting high activity (quick polymerizability and quick curability) contains (a) a compound of formula (1) (R is a 1-12C straight chain or branched alkyl, an alicyclic alkyl, an aryl or an aralkyl; these groups may be substituted with halogen atoms) and (b) a compound to start cationic polymerization by the radiation of actinic energy rays and/or heating.
