PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an entire apparatus, to increase the number of storable recording media, and to surely playing back the recording media. SOLUTION: Stacked holding members 116-118 individually store CDs of recording media. When cam members 2 and 3 are moved in a horizontal direction 157 between arbitrary two of the holding members 116-118 as illustrated in (B), the holding members 116-118 located higher than a portion where the cam members are moved in are moved upward in a vertical direction 155 which is a stacking direction to divide the holding members 116-118. An upper surface of the top holding member 116 is energized downwards by a pressing member 151. A spring 153 whose one end is fixed is mounted on one end of the pressing member 151 different from its other end which is abutted onto the upper surface of the holding member 116.
