PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for safely recovering/restoring a nozzle main-valve in a tank in operation. SOLUTION: This method comprises the following steps: in the first step, the main-valve B of the nozzle A is closed, and a connection bolt C of the nozzle A and the main-valve B is replaced by a temporarily tightening jig 1. In the 2nd step, the valve B is held by a main-valve holding jig 4 penetrated in a chamber 2, an expandable sealing stop 6 is attached to a sealing-stop guiding jig 7 penetrated in the chamber 2, then the chamber 2 is airtightly attached to the nozzle A. In the 3rd step, the temporarily tightening jig 1 is separated by a separating jig 3 penetrated in the chamber 2, and the main-valve holding jig 4 is drawn up to remove the valve 3 from the nozzle A. In the 4th step, the stop 6 is guided by the jig 7 to be fit to the opening of the nozzle A. In the 5th step, the stop 6 is expanded by a stop-expanding jig 8 penetrated in the chamber 2 and the opening of the nozzle A is closed. In the 6th step, the chamber 2 is removed, the jig 7 is separated from the stop 6, and the main valve B is recovered. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
