PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber coating remover enabling anyone to easily and correctly remove optical fiber coating by a simple operation without damaging the coated optical fiber (a clad section or a core section). SOLUTION: The optical fiber coating remover is provided with a guide hole for the optical fiber and, at a suitable position of the guide hole, a pair of cutting blades for forming a cut line in the coating of the optical fiber inserted into the guide hole and a clamp for holding and fixing the optical fiber inserted into the guide hole are provided. The pair of blades are provided in such a manner that each blade is opposed to each other with the guide hole serving as the center, movable back and forth in a mutually facing direction enabling each blade to approach and separate from each other, and rotatable around the guide hole.
