PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine that can offer control of showing sales objects only if recognizing a person for whom the sales objects are suitable so that adult articles, for example, can be sold. SOLUTION: An NCAP film 71 changeable to a transparent state under voltage application is arranged in front of an article display part 75 for displaying sales objects identifiably. When a driver's license is set in an article purchaser authentication part 8, it is read in to verify whether the holder is an adult (or eighteen or older) or not. If the customer is authorized to purchase the sales objects, an NCAP film control part 7 applies voltage to the NCAP film 71 to control an opaque state to a transparent state, where the article display part 75 is visible. When a consideration confirmation part 6 confirms an input of a necessary consideration, an article selection is allowed on an article selection part 4.
