PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shovel and a scoop superior in workability by applying a nonslipping processing to a handle body and a grip part surface of a steel shovel and a scoop. SOLUTION: The steel shovel 1 is constituted by respectively fixing a spoon body 3 and a grip part 4 to both ends of the handle body 2 made of a steel pipe. A nonslipping part 5 is formed by carving a plurality of linear grooves on at least either one surface by a knurling work among the handle body 2 and the grip part 4. Frictional resistance increases in gripping by the plurality of these linear grooves, and slipping of hands at work is minimized, so that the workability is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
