PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of a plasma carburization treatment of a high production efficiency by taking such efforts that the number of steps in a plasma carburization treatment may be minimized and both the effect of the plasma carburization treatment and that of age-hardening may be sufficiently achieved. SOLUTION: The plasma carburization treatment method, comprising a plasma carburization treatment for a metal material such as titanium-based metal after the solution treatment thereof, is such that a plasma carburization treatment is carried out while adjusting a temperature of a matter to be treated to an age-hardenable, predetermined temperature, by using a micropulsed electric power source and by controlling computer-programmatically an output electric voltage, an electric current or a pulse width of the plasma electric power source. The generating time of a plasma can be controlled in dependence upon a continuing time of a pulsed electric voltage, consequently this result permits no extreme drop of the electric voltage and moreover the adjustment of a temperature of a matter to be treated into an age-hardenable, relatively low temperature and consequently permits the simultaneous advancement of both the plasma carburization treatment and the age-hardening.
