PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound field simulation device for estimating a sound field in a tunnel, in a short time without utilizing a processor having a high processing capability. SOLUTION: In an acoustic characteristic storage part 1, an acoustic characteristic in the tunnel, for example, a distance attenuation characteristic or a D value is stored, as one that is at least dependent on the positional relationship between a sound source in the tunnel and a sound receiving point. An estimation arithmetic part 2 calculates estimation information on the sound field in the tunnel, utilizing the estimation condition inputted from an input part 3 and the information stored in the acoustic characteristic storage part 1. The estimation arithmetic part 2 arithmetically estimates at least one of an impulse response, a sound pressure distribution, and an articulation index value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
