PURPOSE: An inclination angle forming method of a CNC(Computer Numerical Control) wire electric discharge machine is provided to obtain the accurate inclination angle of a wire without regard to the thickness or inclination angle of materials, the thickness of the wire, and other forming variables by accurately computing the inclination angle of the wire by the CNC by utilizing a vertical position setting jig as a contact sensor. CONSTITUTION: In machining the inclination angle of a workpiece with CNC wire electric discharge machine, an inclination angle forming method of the electric discharge machine inputs vertically separated distances and a set angle, sets the inclination angle of a wire(5) by computing horizontal distances(d1,d2) with a computer numerical control program, measures contact distances(x1,x2) by utilizing a vertical position setting jig(7) as a sensor, obtains corrected vertically-separated distances after deciding the actual angle, and secures the precise inclination angle of the wire by inputting a new corrected value.
