METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF BUILT-IN REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: A method for controlling operation of a built-in refrigerator is provided to allow the refrigerator to be installed to a sink and to allow a machine chamber to efficiently radiate heat. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator includes a main body installed to a sink, and having a machine chamber placed in a rear lower part thereof; a condenser and a compressor placed in the machine chamber, and radiating heat; a radiating channel connecting the machine chamber, a bottom of the main body and a front outer side of the main body to introduce outside air into the machine chamber and radiate heat in the machine chamber; and a cooling fan placed in the machine chamber to cool down the condenser and the compressor. The cooling fan is operated for extra time(A) when the compressor is turned off to allow hot air trapped in the machine chamber to be discharged to the outside along the radiating channel. The extra time for which the cooling fan is operated is time needed for the hot air trapped in the machine chamber to be discharged to the outside along the radiating channel.
