PURPOSE: An air bag system inspecting method is provided to effectively judge quality of an air bag system by inspecting the air bag system based on real time self-diagnosis information of an air bag electronic control unit. CONSTITUTION: A sort of a vehicle is inspected(S10). Then, an air bag electronic control unit is synchronized with an inspection device(S11). After that, a record of fault codes in the air bag electronic control unit is searched by using the inspection device(S12). Then, the inspection device requests real time self-diagnosis information of the air bag electronic control unit(S13). After that, the inspection device compares the real time self-diagnosis information of the air bag electronic control unit with a predetermined reference value, thereby determining whether or not the air bag system has a fault(S14). The above record of the fault codes, real time self-diagnosis information, and fault of the air bag system are stored in a data server(S15).
