A protective cover for a garment has a plastic envelope (2) to hold the garment and which is attached to a hollow cylinder (3) at one end. The cover and garment are rolled onto the cylinder for a crease free storage. The bottom end of the cover is fitted with a thin reinforcing insert (7) to stiffen the completed roll. Ties (6) fitted to the outside of the cover secure the roll. The inside (4) of the hollow cylinder provides storage for small items, e.g. toiletries and the cylinder can be closed at one end. The small items can also be stored in a slide which is pushed into the cylinder. The cylinder is slid into a pocket attached to the cover.
