<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layout image display control method, a display controller, and a program which enable a user to early confirm layout positions of pictures without waiting for the end of detailed picture display. <P>SOLUTION: A printer is provided with a monitor having a monitor screen 18 for displaying print pictures. When a switch for preview display of print pictures is depressed, rough display (layout image) consisting of only layout frames L1 to L3 is first displayed on the monitor screen 18. After display completion of the rough display (layout image), pictures P1 to P3 are displayed in picture layout areas Z1 to Z3 of the layout image. After display of the rough display, a user is allowed to interrupt picture display processing to start next processing by operating a switch in the middle of picture display processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
