<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately detect dirt on an optical system of an imaging device in real time. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging device for picking images of an object up with an image sensor through the optical system to project picked-up images on a screen is provided with a processing means for emphasizing a change of brightness by using a conversion table for converting input/output characteristic of an image data output from the image sensor, and detects dirt of the optical system by projecting the image, wherein dirt of the optical system is emphasized by the processing, on the screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
