<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact battery system of which, a battery can be uniformly cooled. <P>SOLUTION: The battery system comprises a body of equipment composed of a battery cover 6 and a lower case 12, a module assembly 11 located at the inside of the body of equipment functioning as a battery, and a coolant passage partitioned by the module assembly 11 and the wall surface of the body of equipment. An inlet side opening 18 for supplying cooling media cooling the module assembly 11 to the cooling passage is formed at the body of equipment. The width of the inlet side opening 18 is narrower than the width of the cooling passage. At the coolant passage of the upper stream side of the module assembly 11, the body of equipment has ribs 19a-19e making the cooling media spread in the range wider than the inlet side opening 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
